I’ve had good times to remember, and worn misfortunes of yesterday...

But now I have a- shed those rags I’ve found a friend today

Who gives me hope of happiness and all I need to see me through

Lord, i’m showing off a smiling face because that friend is you!

Waking on another morning from another dream of you

I realize it’s not a dream- this is a dream come true!

Now dreams can keep you company but they fade and then they’re gone

But I know that your’e here today and you’ll be tomorrow’s song!

Got my head up on the outlook and things are lookin’ fine

You give me a sense of freedon - You give me peace of mind
