Rise up and greet the spirit wind- she comes to sing her song again

A song of hope a song that is true- get up and live this life anew

Sometimes I act like I’m half dead- attempting to leave my warm bed

I fear being rejected- I fear being spurned Got to lose this fear of being burned.

His melody sunrise warms my soul- Life’s fresh adventure will unfold

Many things I’m unsure of, many things I want to know Step out in faith I’ve got to go!

I never heard Asleep In the Light by Keith Green until after I wrote this. I was brought to my knees because though I was writing the same things I recognized the hypocrisy and self righteousness shallowness with which I wrote.
