Walk in the Light

Walk in the Light, Walk in the Light

Walk in the Light so you can know that fellowship of love that His Spirit bestows

He reigns in Light above!

Walk in the Light and you will find

Your heart made truly His who dwells in cloudless light enshrined-

In whom NO darkness is!

Like a flower in a bulb, like an oak within the seed

He’ll illuminate what’s in me and satisfy my needs

Like a man within a child on the first steps of a journey

While the first few steps are clear, darkness shrouds my destiny

But if I walk in the light I know it’ll be all right!

Walk in the Light and He shall own

Your darkness passed away because His loght on you has shown

In Him no darkness is

Walk in the Light and mine shall be

A path narrow and bright, for God, by grace shall dwell in me

And God Himself is light!

Like a flower in a bulb, like an oak within the seed

He’ll illuminate what’s in me and satisfy my needs

Like a man within a child on the first steps of a journey

While the first few steps are clear, darkness shrouds my destiny

But if I walk in the light I know it’ll be all right!

If I walk in the light!

Exploring the hymnal was a part of my daily devotions as I was reading the Bible through concurrently for the first time- I remember tho I hadn’t heard this song by Bernard Barton (1784-1849) coming up it impressed me because I was in 1 John (1:17) at the time. The first seeds of Arminianism seem to be slipping into my chorus I wrote.
