Warmth Is in the Sun
The words are from an unknown source, I suspect Franciscan in origin.
Warmth is in the sun, night and day are done
Now the midday sun is high in the center of the sky
Into the yellow of the sun we fly.
Warmth is in the sun- make the coldness run
Warmth for frosted handlebars, the frozen tires of frozen cars
And ground beneath the winter stars.
Brother sun is in the air
For tortoise, fox and hare
get up and jump and leap
baby lamb and mother sheep
Come, oh come, the Lord has sent the sun
I was searching for simplicity, exploring it in my art with Brancusi and Modigliani and seeking simpler approaches to basic concepts in my writing as well.I am still tied to the earth as is evidenced here.
