You Comfort Me

There’s a full moon peekin’ through a grove of saplings,

There’s a sky full of stars up above

Nightsounds spring and a bullfrog’s singin’ me a song that I love

There’s a cool breeze siftin’ through a swaying wheatfield-

Makes it ripple just like the sea

I’ll hitch a ride on that breeze and see where it’ll take me...

Well a night like this but for one exception

would seem near perfect for me

But Lord above just for the pleasure of your company

And the cool breeze cuttin’ through the greying evening

tells me that it’s all right

You may not be in sight but you’re still with me tonight!

Oh just like the colors of a tapestry -apart ‘til love together weaves

Until then life’s just a mystery, but with you its all right

Oh just like an oak that thrives within the seed or the first steps of a long journey

Darkness shrouds my destiny But with you it’s all right.

Now the full moon peekin’ through a grove of saplings

and the sky full of stars that I love

I now find they all remind me of my Lord up above...

And the cool breeze playin through the trees this evenin’

Is moving me like the pines Comforts me every time-Telling me that it’s fine.

Late spring/early summer on the farm is a nice memory- My parents never really knew how tied I really am to the land since I never particularly ever learned to love working it. The lack of light pollution back then left one awe inspired at the vastness and clearness of the Milky Way ...along with the symphony of nature, how can you not believe in God.Maybe that was why I was drawn to work for a science museum and produce shows for them.
