Bread of the World
Bread of the World in mercy broken
Wine of the soul in mercy shed
By whom the words of life were spoken
And by whose death our sins are dead
And by whose death our sins are dead
Look in the heart by sorrow broken
Look on the tears by sinners shed
And by your love to us the token
That by your grace our souls are fed
That by your grace our souls are fed.

Communion- began to take on a more sacramental identity in this time- being a good Baptist I understood it as an ordinance- but I really began experiencing the grace of Christ thru the Lord's supper in a tangible way- using the little plastic cup filled with grapejuice to look at my hands through its little lens- It seemed as though I could see my self covered by the blood for the first time. To taste the saltiness of the little unleavened ,pasty wafer, I was feasting at a banquet that drove me to my knees- Why oh why do we only ration this to ourselves one in a blue moon?
