Everytime I close my eyes- I- remember

I recall just what my life was like before I met you

And everytime I close my eyes

I have to realize

I'd be walking in darkness now if not for You!

Lord bring me to the end of self and in my heart instill

A hunger for your healing grace and break my stubborn will...

I've founfd so much security in things I've tried to do

Lord work in me a brokenness so I'll depend on you!

Lord I feel your presence here- but I need you - overflowing

Take the darkness of my life and warm my heart to glowing

Some say "God helps those who help themselves"- but I am helpless now

Take control of me, comfort me, Lord help me!
