Ask Me No Questions

Ask me no questions- I'll tell you a lie

The world is saying to me

Ask me no questions- you don't need to try

There's nothing required you see

We tend not to question when things go all right

Accepting our answers in the dark of the night

But you can know what is true- you can have this Hope

Or you can think about it at the end of your rope

Wading in the shallows of life

Never asking questions about what you believe

Wading in the shallows of life

It's so easy to be deceived

When you believe what you think you believe...

You may be surrounded by people each day

Who repeat just what they've heard

But the deep things of life and the deep things of God

Are discovered in His Word

For life is not some mystery- The Will of God

Isn't difficult to know- it's not at all  odd

You can go through a lifetime and not understand

That to keep you from the Truth is the devil's plan!

Wading in the shallows of life

Never asking questions about what you believe

Wading in the shallows of life

It's so easy to be deceived

When you believe what you think you believe...

What do you hold on to to keep yourself going?

Is it wishful thinking when you could be knowing

Are you wasting your life or are you thriving and growing?

Do you bend with the way the wind is blowing?

If you're ever to grow you need to have roots

A foundation that's strong

not just spending your lifetime pursuing pursuits

Too busy your whole life long!

To look for the key that will unlock the door

And will fit perfectly forevermore

Sincerity only misses the mark

You don't have to fly in the dark!

Wading in the shallows of life

Never asking questions about what you believe

Wading in the shallows of life

It's so easy to be deceived

When you believe what you think you believe...
