He Arose
The cry rang out "Why have you forsaken me?"
How could this be a part of His destiny?
Then He bowed his head and entered into Hell
Satan in excitement could not tell
No Satan couldn't hope to understand
How this could ever be part of God's plan!
All the force of Hell just couldn't wait
The demons all began to celebrate
as they's taunted Him and Mocked Him
They'd seen Him bear a world of sin
And now for the first time in eternity
Satan could sense eness of a victory!
On the earth's darkest day- the demons came out to play
It would chill your soul the way you could almost hear
them rant and rave!
When hope upon the cross was nailed,
They thought His mission had truly failed
Thought that evil had prevailed
as the stone was rolled over the grave!
A hellish celebration for the deathday of God's son
A rallying of hells hope that God's plan had come undone
And as Satan felt he's engineered man's fall
He thought he'd slain god's champion once for all
No he could not hope to understand
The mysterious perfection of God's plan
Then three days after the tomb was sealed,
the truth would finally be revealed
The Lamb of God who had been killed
Threw off His binding clothes
The glory of the Lord did shine
To fill the tomb and space and time
IN GOD'S TRUE PURPOSE AND DESIGN
The Son of God arose!
He arose! He arose
He arose in victory over sin's domain
He arose So that with Him we could forever reign
He arose! He arose!
Hallelujah He arose
He is alive and well and He's sent us forth to tell
He arose! He arose!
Hallelujah He arose
He arose!
