The Cross is a Crossroads

 

Time after time everywhere that you turn

We're faced with the truth that we need to discern

Profound in its meaning, much more than a sign

And more than a symbol, an intersection in time!

 

You can hang it round your neck or put it on a steeple

You can take the cross for granted just like so many people

But you must be sure you understand what happened on the cross

If you focus on what happened there you'll see what God's love cost.

 

The cross is a crossroads where holy God met sinful man

It's the cross that makes us holy- It's the crux of God's plan

The cross makes us righteous 'cause of who died there

Without the blood of Jesus you haven't got a prayer!

 

Can you live the way you're living in the light of how he died

It was just because he loves you that he was crucified

All your hope is wrapped up in the cross and God's new start

For the cross is a crossroads, let it cover your heart.
