Wandering Away

I really don't know why I went-

Perhaps its not my natural bent

But momentum won't take me to my destiny

I need to know my leader dwells in me

But I go wandering away from you

I go wandering away from you...

For I'll never thrive without his drive

I must learn to jerk back the reigns

I have to strive to stay alive

Until total control of my life He retains

We must work and do our part

And be diligent every day

For you can't plant a garden

And then expect to go off to play

Expecting the weeds to stay away

Left alone things only decay

For spiritual battles do not stay won

They'll never, never be over and done

Til that glorious day when He takes us away

And we'll forever reign with the son.

And go wandering away with You

And go wandering away with you!
