Excuses

Are you allowing the actions of men

Form the position you've tried to defend,

becoming an excuse for your own sin

We only answer to God in the end!

If you look at the church you can see

Men going their own way in hypocrisy

If you look at the world you will find

The blind leading the blind!

Men doing their own thing

It doesn't matter what others do

your destiny is up to you

You must account for the life that you live

God doesn't want the excuses you give!

If you look at religion all that remains

Are rules and creeds and men left in chains

But if you look to Jesus, He frees us

The only thing that matters

Is the way that He sees us!
