Why Call Him Lord?

You plant the seeds of ruin when you tune out the Word

The truth isn't yours 'til its done and not just heard

Receive Christ in your mind- Let Him into your heart

Rooted in the emotion, applied in a life set apart!

Why call Him Lord when you feel you can't afford

To lose your life to gain it- How do you explain it?

Why call Him Lord and ignore what He's said

Words are not enough for they fade and are dead

Man made things cannot survive-But God's word is forever alive!

Why call him Lord? Why call him Lord? Why call him Lord?

If any call Him Lord and yet do not obey

The Lord calls Him a liar For His sheep follow His way

For If you bear His name you must also bear His cross

To follow you must die to self and realize the cost!
