The Promise

We promised to grow and change, to become all we could be

Little did we know that God had things we couldn't see

And I'm so glad that He is Wise for we could never agree

On what we want or what we need-But God has set us free!

Our bond is not of bondage- our life is one we share

Our hope is in the Father who holds us in His care!

He gave us something precious like the diamond on your hand

He polishes and proves us- in our Father we shall stand!
