Crossmaker

I've been making crosses by my hand,

Placing them on the shoulders of man

For I'd never followed Jesus to His cross

Or found freedom in what seemed a total loss.

Either it is finished or it's NOT.

You cannot owe on what's already bought!

So by the Holy Spirit -It's time to realize

I am forever perfect in God's eyes!

He went to the cross and He said "Follow Me!"

He went to the grave and he said"Follow Me"

He rose from the dead and He said "Follow Me!"

So Follow I will til His Glory I see!

We can never repay what does not have a price

We could never fulfil God's plan

For our nam's forever written in the lamb's book of life

The gift of grace is given by His hand

I'd been making crosses by my hand

Bearing them but now I understand

That when I follow Jesus to the cross

His final sacrifice has paid the cost.

When I take up crosses daily to obey

My manufactured crosses will decay

But His yoke is easy and His burden's light

So i'll keep that cross forever in my sight!
