A sparkling treasure eludes me- though I search for it diligently

Digging a pit, searching for Gold striving while mining some bottomless hole

A motherlode of material things- the ease and the comforts and all that gold brings

Dims when compared to the golden throne- I can touch through Jesus alone.

For the riches of earth may be added to you, but by seeking them first you will lose them

The treasures of heaven are not of this world and are given to none who refuse them

For the glory of heaven requires

That all you have withstand the refiner's fire

And if your treasure is worthy -by fire purified - give it to Jesus to hold

For everything else is just fool's gold- everything else is just fool's gold.
