Shall I sing for my own glory- the applause that it might bring

Or shall I let my praise be heard to exalt the Lord of everything?

Shall I sing for singing's sake or shall I sing an offering?

An acceptable sacrifice, holy and clean that flies on spirit wings?

For unless Hosanna we shall sing

And lest our songs declare Him King

The stones themselves will resound and ring

The rocks will quake and cry to Him

And this world would surely see its end

For the song that we choose, we shall become

When my will I lose, His will is done

With His song the world is overcome

By the power that praise brings!

So this song now I shall sing

I shall sing a song of joy, a song of power, prayer and praise

I shall sing the song that angels sing And sing it all of my days!
