The New Reformation

Throw off the lusts and greed of men

throw off the lists and creeds of men

Put on the robes of righteousness and stand!

To live in this world as the Ones

Who are holy and set apart

Vessels with God's own heart

Beating in our breasts

Never to rest

Until God's will is done!

Lord we don't need a great revival or rededication time and again

We need to be conformed to the likeness of the son of Man!

So change us completely -whatever it takes

Let us see our risen Lord and the difference that resurrection makes!

For nothing short of reformation will suffice

In every one who bears the name of Jesus Christ

So examine your condition

Put to death aimless tradition

For all that is not of the Spirit is in vain

Only in the reformed heart will Jesus rule and reign

For the Luthers and Zwingli's and the Calvin's now are us

We need to do what God wills -in unity we must

Awaken the church and the churchmen inside

To the spirit of this Age and to our own pathetic pride!
