You Are Love!

I've heard the tale- I've told the story

I'd never fail to speak of glory

But the glory was not a part of me

Seeking in darkness I failed to see

Inside I knew there must be more

Than what was in my being's core

But it never dawned that all I knew

Was worthless without love for You!

For You are Love and all you are must live within me!

You are my reality for by Grace you set me free!

For You are Love that is how I will be known

By the love of Christ that through me is shown

And by Grace you make your Love my own!

For You are Love- You are Love!

I see so many in the same condition

Playing the old game

Of naming your name and seeking to tame

The old nature only death can reclaim

But Lord you made it your aim

To give me new life, one without blame

that's the reason- that's the reason you came!
