Though I'm restless and running in directions I've never planned
You reach out to hold me to touch me with your hand
To draw me back to you, to keep me from harm
To rescue and enfold me within your loving arms.
For you hold me with arms that never grow weary
You lift me with hands that are strong
You hold me so gently and so carefully
You hold me to where I belong
In times of uncertainty, most days, these days
I need to feel your arms around me always, always.
To be in the warm hold of tender arms
That will ever keep me from harm
That draw me ever closer when I try to stay
Rescue and keep me, Lord, I pray
In your arms it's not what we've done that makes us who we are
By your arm we're what we've become and we've come so far
To draw me back to you, to keep me from harm
To rescue and enfold me within your loving arms.
You allow me to stand in the presence of glory and to hide in your glorious grace.
You hold me with arms that will never grow weary-my perfect hiding place
In times of uncertainty, most days, these days
I need to feel your arms around me always, always.
To be in the warm hold of tender arms
That will ever keep me from harm
That draw me ever closer when I try to stay
Rescue and keep me, Lord, I pray
