Is is strange that the maker of man who created a being who could understand
And love God for all of eternity should fulfill His purpose in coming to me?
Is it strange God would come as a man? Put on human flesh, then according to plan
As a carpenter builds things of beauty and worth as he sanctified work on His earth.
Was it strange that He's be crucified?
Suffer and bleed and eventually die
When throughout the ages He'd been wounded by man
Yet in mercy and love He created this plan
Is it strange that the author of life should rise from the dead and set men aright?
Is it strange that the son of God should reveal the perfect expression of the Father's Will?
Far stranger is the curious fact That men still fail to receive and react
To the overwhelming promise He gave When he arose and walked out of that grave!
Is it strange when all's said and all's done to believe and to trust in the only one
Who gives meaning to wrong and right, who gives purpose to death and to life?
Was it strange that He's be crucified?
