Strange Peace

I don't understand it- i won't pretend to have known

Just how a heart so torn apart

Can be raptured to the throne

It's beyond all my devices- Beyond my dearest dreams

sin and pain confessed can be put to rest

For falling on grace calms and redeems!

It's a strange peace that passes understanding

A strange peace in which I am now standing

I have a calm assurance and a promise divine

That your peace is a strong and secure lifeline

And it will never let me go

It's your stange peace that I will always know!

Though wars may rage about me I am serene and sure inside

When life's tragic and torn your peace calms the storm

Your power can't be denied

So I'm learning how it all works together

To benefit God's own

For perfect peace is the only releace

The only security that can be known
