The Love of the Savior

Have you heard of the love of the Savior

and His eternal life do you know?

How He has descended from Heaven

His care and compassion to show?

You say that you've heard that some follow Him

As an example to all men

But He was never bound by sin

If that is the first step, how shall we begin?

Have you heard of the Love of the savior

who bore all the world's sin and pain-

Have you heard how He laid down for all men

He died and arose to make the way plain!

You say you'd not asked Him to suffer such loss

But you figure you can bear your own sin's cost-

After all such a moral, responsible man

Should bear all the burden of his own plans

Have you heard of the love of the Savior

To whom can you go but to Him?

Who else opens up all of heaven

And invites those who love Him to enter in

For only perfection can come stand before

A Holy God and enter Heaven's small door

And perfection only is found in the One

Who has died and was raised up- God's Sovereign Son!

Now you've heard of this Love ,and the Savior's good news

That its not up to morals or creeds you may choose

It's only and always and once and for all

Turning to Jesus and heeding His call!

To partake of the Love of the Savior

To awake to the love of the savior

For the sake of the Love of the savior- Jesus alone!
