Will You Now Forsake Us?

They heard the words the Mastrer said

" Let's go over- over to the other side".

So they set out in their fishing boat

Prepared to take a pleasure ride

As they sailed the Master went to sleep

And a storm raged all around

Now thy found danger in the deep

In a flood of fear their faith had drowned!

"Master,are you there?

Master don't you care Will you now forsake us?

The storm will overtake us!

The torrent's surely more than we can bear!"

Jesus calmed the wind with a simple "Peace Be Still!"

They watched with wionder and saw the wind subside

And then He turned to them and asked-

Where is your Faith? Did you think I lied?

If I can calm the raging sea

Can I not calm you hearts?

If you just put your faith in me

My peace I can impart

They forgot who was in the boat with them

They forgot the words he said

"We are going to the other side"

they embraced their fear instead!

We still cry"Master are you there?

Master don't you care ? Will you now forsake us?

The storm will overtake us!

The torrent's surely more than we can bear!"

In the midst of trials and tribulation,

We forget who dwells within us

He who said that He'd complete the work

We saw Him begin in us

We think that God must be asleep

But He who never slumbers still

Sees us and calms the stormy deep

His faithful promise He fulfils

we still cry"Master,are you there?

Master don't you care Will you now forsake us?

The storm will overtake us!

The torrent's surely more than we can bear!"

Fear not I am with you comes the Master's sure repluy

Peace be still still calms our frantic cry!
