Filled With the Holy Spirit

 

When God the Holy Spirit came to Earth

With tongues of fire and rushing wind

The welcomed guest brought a new birth

Set their hearts afire and dwelt within.

Filled with the Holy Spirit,

they became more than mere men

In the power of the name of Christ

They saw their faith made new

They saw His grace and Love suffice

And mighty acts God said they's do

In the power of the Spirit

they changed the world they knew!

 

The Holy Spirit  lives in this place

Not just in days of Old

Men are made new in power and grace

Their witness brave and bold

Filled with the Holy Spirit

The Gospel shall be told

Each christian has a Pentecost

Transformed and called each day

To serve and show and tell the Lost

Of the true and living way

Filled with the Holy Spirit

God's purpose we convey!
