So Far Away

 

So far away from where I've been

Slipping slowly into self and sin

I see the path I see the fall

I see the way I don't see at all.

So far away from who I am

Its unnatural to be a natural man

Embracing lies, withholding Love

When you're born again from above

So clear out the darkness, Lord

For I just can't afford

To be courting sin

Like those natural men

Clear out the Darkness, Lord.

 

If I should put out both my eyes

It would only make me recognize

that sin still dwells within my mind

No darker than ever tho I be blind

if I should sever both my hands

i would still crave what the flesh demands

the darkness still wouldnot depart

Until your light shines in my heart!

So clear out the darkness Lord

Break the pattern, cut the cord

And make me like new

Like you promised you'd do

Clear out the darkness, Lord!
