Trust and Obey

 

You can call me Lord and yet you will not obey

You call me the light and yet will not see the way

You call me the Way yet choose to walk in the mire

You call me the life- yet I am not your desire

 

You call me wise and yet you won't follow me

You call me Love and yet you do not love me.

You call me rich and yet ask not for your needs

You call me eternal and yet my will you won't heed.

 

You call me faith ful yet your trust you reserve

You call me Gracious and yet you refuse to serve

You call me Holy- yet you dishonor me just the same

You call me Just and yet you do not fear my name

 

Now if you find yourself condemned

Your unbelief's the blame

For I came to save all men

Who'll wholly trust in my name

Why do you call me Lord, Lord and do not the things I say?

No matter what you call me, you must trust and obey...
