You Must Be the Way

 

Those who seek blessings and not the blesser

Those who seek power and not power's source

Those who seek gifts instead of the giver

Find self as the destination of their course.

 

So if error blinds me- you must be the way

If terror binds me, You must be the Way

For seeking any other pathway is to seek in a desert for dew

You alone have the Words of Life- where  else can we go but You?

 

Those who seek Jesus will be free indeed

Free from judgment- once for all it is well

Free from themselves and free from the need

To seek any other but in His Holy place to dwell!

 

So if error confounds me- you must be the way

If terror surrounds  me, You must be the Way

For seeking any other pathway- is to seek in a desert for dew

You alone have the Words of Life- where  else can we go but You?
