Rock in the Desert

We live in the barren land where our lives are like seeds we must sow.

We must bear fruit in the desert... we must take root and grow.

The parched earth would kill us. Sandy soil is not a friend.

But in the shadow of the rock there's a garden we must tend.

There is a living river, from the rock in the desert it flows.

To fill our lives and nourish new life found in old furrows.

a rock in the desert, a shield till the storm is past...

The desert would blind and pound us, but our rock of refuge holds fast.

A treasure out of darkness, a landmark out of time

A never changing refuge on which you can rely....
