When the remnants of life seem to be the realest thing you can know

 

And faith just seems to flee from you and so you let it go

 

And the hope you cling to flies like dust in the wind

 

Leaving nothing left to salvage, and nothing left to defend.

In Jesus chains are broken,  and shackles are destroyed.

When death seems your best option, when life's too much to take,

 

 

When all your suppositions cause your heart to break

 

 

And reason seems to fail you, and wrong things seem so right

 

 

That's the time to flee the darkness and run into God's Light
