All this life's a darkened mirror and wherever we may go

Walls of darkness must surround us- things we would but cannot know

For the infinite's beyond us- it is hidden by life's veil

While the finite leaves us weary- if we seek it we shall fail.

But there is an unseen vista where the fulness yet to come

Is so glorious and bright it will strike us blind and dumb

Yet thetruth eternal calls us from beyond all space and time

And if ever for a moment we would look to the sublime

We shall see with faith's eyes in the light of the face of God's son.

The holiness our heart denies in the presence of the Holy One

Wer shall become devastated by the light our life denies

We'll be changed within an instant- in the twinkling of an eye.
