SAMSON'S RIDDLE

Out of the eater came something to eat, out of the strong came something sweet

Satan's a lion who wants to devour

every act we would do in the Spirit's power

But he who dwells in us has destroyed the beast

and so the lion's bones now yields a sweet feast.

Out of the eater came something to eat, out of the strong came something sweet

Yield not to temptation and reckon sin dead

Sweet victory is ours and so we are fed

For when temptation is overthrown,

We allow Jesus to make himself known.

Out of the eater came something to eat, out of the strong came something sweet

From the carcass of sin sweet honey we'll see

When we begin to seek Christ's victory
