Satan sees the blood

Satan sees the blood and is powerless to act

This is a faithful fact

For in the blood of the lamb is the power of the great I am

Satan sees the blood and it makes him to despair

There's nothing he can do to repair

The wounded flesh of the lamb- He would if he could but he's already damned.

Satan's not a healer and he got what he desired

When the lamb of God was stricken down for what sin had required.

In its obscenity and sanctity-Satan sees the blood-

And there's nothing he can do to stem that holy flood.

Satan sees the blood on the empty graveclothes stained

By the blood of a lamb that in His tomb has not remained

And that roaring lion now screams with sober grief

And can seek only to deceive others in his disbelief.....
