Sieze the Day!

Lord, let me not spend my life trying to defend my life-

But never let me cease to find ways for its release.

I shall not demand to hold it in my hand

I shall not insist to grasp life with clenched fists

I will not deposit my treasure or cause it

To be placed in the ground and stored

When it should be outpoured.

I prefer to embrace the light, for what darkness hides we do not know

To sieze the day to fight the fight , to be vessels from which your life can flow.

Not noting the inevitable or observing some obvious flaw

But to be occupied with the pursuit of a life that's filled with awe!

It is not my good sense, but only your good grace

That taught me to sieze the day, to run the good race.

for when I take my long lon rest in you

You will make my life strong , blessed and true...
