The Builder

Oh God, my creator, You built a world You have built a city not made by hands.

From the cornerstone that was rejected you built a foundation that forever stands.

You built a bridge of reconciliation to your children and called it a cross

You built a work in my heart and you shall complete it for you’ve counted the cost

You have built an ark like a fortress strong against which the storm can’t prevail

And a tabernacle for a dwelling place- a temple of flesh that has no veil.

Now build up an altar in my heart oh Lord and place upon it my all

Build a fire to consume my offering then build in me a wall

A hedge of protection, a sure defense against the enemy

I am sealed unto the day of redemption- Lord build your dwelling place in me

Adorn it with your beautiful things put your mark on every space

Open up the windows and the doors and light up every hidden place

For you are master of this house- and you should feel at home

Abide in me as I rest in you. For in me your Kingdom has come.
