Daybreak

They say to write about what you know

But what I've known lately is not much to show.

For dryness and darkness won't bring a big yield

I've been digging the dirt of a fallow field.

The pain of the loss of my deepest desires

Has taught me to seek in the midst of the fire

My deliverance will come in the end

But what can I do until then?

I will cast myself upon His love

Let go of trying to be enough

Help me save me from this hour

Give to me your Holy power.

To cling to you with might

Take me into your Holy Light

And show me things I've never seen

Show me what trust truly means.
