Spirit Quest

What do we long for? What do we require?

What is the point of opur spirit's desire?

A personal God and a personal friend

A familiar person on whoom to depend?

Intimacy, heart to heart, hand in hand

Someone to truly understand

And who will receive us as we are

And desires our life to share.

Transcendence- above and beyond the world we see.

A place where we can truly be

More than we perceive that we are

And in whose life we have a share.

A strong calm sanity in the midst of our adversity

The Way, the Truth, The Life that will finally set us free.

Focus on Jesus, he finally frees us

From seeking ourselves and our ways

He is the only one worth seeking

Wholly worthy of our praise.
