Tender Heart

May I learn to weep while I confess

'Til my respect for righteousness

Keeps me to the point, keeps me on course

My heart and head and hands annoint, my center and my source.

Lord, give me a tender heart, one that beats like yours

With compassion in it's deepest part, a love that ever endures.

With so many distractions, it is you I am spurning

But In You there's no season, no shadow of turning

For even in judgment you love what is yours

Lord give a tender heart that endures.
