Deadly Deception

The biggest deception that we can believe is that we are basically good

We make an exception and we are deceived- for our hearts cannot be understood

We judge ourselves lightly against other men

We compare ourselves to one with greater sin

So how will we stand- how will we compare

When the standard is holiness we faint in despair

A right estimation- not too high or low

Can help us see clearly- can help us to know

That in Him and Thru Him we can do it all

But without Him we're nothing, without him we fall
