Hope of Glory

With eyes of faith I see- In Christ I live and move and breathe

In Him I find all I ever will be- then I become what I believe

In Christ I now abide and so I am crucified

Not I but Christ who lives in me- not some pious dream but my reality

I'd encountered the words but they were empty

Mouthed by religious men who claimed to know

But the truth just seemed so distant

Not living and active in the love that they showed

For him whom the son sets free shall be free indeed

Not bound to life by any chain

But set apart by holy pain

Of the death of pride

A self that has died

Christ in me- the only hope of glory!

Christ in me- The hope of glory

Holy mystery- now my reality

For so long a mystery concealed

But now in Christ it is revealed

This is the truth the Bible tells

A christian is one in whom Christ dwells.
