Brother of the Dust

 

A great high priest has come from heaven above

He understands our weaknesses and he intercedes in love

In all things like his brothers he was made

Because he suffered those in need he can aid.

 

Come boldly to the throne

The throne of glory and grace

Come boldly to find mercy

To see him face to face

We have a great high priest we can trust

For he became the brother of the dust

 

His compassion is now ours today

For all who are ignorant or have gone astray

Since He himself was made to be weak

Yet the ways of the flesh he did not seek

 

He’s the author of salvation to all who will obey

The holy and the human meet, the true and living way

We have a great high priest we can trust
