Chance and Happenstance

 

Luck and happenstance

Are not the lords of me

There is no fate, there is no chance

There is only precious sovereignty.

Of a living, loving Lord and King

By his will alone I will stand

He is ruler over everything

And my name is written on His hand.

To work and invest and to build

Is the way to wealth and weal

This is the way he has willed

This is the way God has revealed.

For there is a way that I should live

In His word is the knowledge and plan

He will prosper me if I will give

And hold all things losely in my hand
