City on the Hill

 

 

In the strength of Zion's fortress abides the King of Kings

On the mountain of His Holiness He rules over all things

Great is the Lord who reigns above - Let every heart be filled

Approach the Hope of all the world- the city on a Hill

 

 

Christ has prepared a place for us- this promise we have heard

He  has secured the palaces He tells of in His Word

We shall proclaim his faithfulness and praise his name until

He draws us close and  brings us to that  city on the Hill

 

 

We shall dwell within the walls where glory now abides

We shall dwell forever in the house the Lord provides

Within His holy house we'll meditate upon His love.

And he has given this to us on earth just as above.

 

 

Like your name, O Lord, your praise engulfs the earth

Within your  house we'll meditate upon your matchless worth

Let  all   Zion rejoice,with righteousness your hand is filled

Al who look  will find the way to the City on the Hill.

 

We are free to walk about the walls, and enter every gate.

Her citadels and pathway is glorious and great.

The God that dwells within has led the nations by his will

And He will guide our pathway to the City on the Hill.
