Fix Your Eyes Upon the Cross

Sight is such a blessing all God's glory we may see

The eyes are gates into the world and all its wondrous beauty

As you can see the eyes will guide, but seeing eyes can be blind

To the unseen sights in the Spirit's Light That you can only find

When you fix your eyes upon the Cross where the Saviour cried and suffered loss

Where Love laid down His life for us- that we might see God!

When you fix your eyes upon the cross your spirit tries to count the cost

In the glory of that moment trust- in faith you shall see God!

For you can set your sights on many things that cannot meet your need

Power to replace a load of sin with God's peace can't be be found in a creed.

To see the light beyond the grave- To gaze upon the one who saves

Fix your eyes upon the cross -It's the only fix God gave.
