I Know that I Know that I Know

 

 

I don’t know why I was chosen to live life before God’s throne

I don’t know why among all men  I was made one of God’s own

I don’t know why grace still holds me in spite of all I’ve done

I don’t know why God has loved me and adopted me as a son,

 

But I know that I know that I know

That whatever I do and wherever I go

The faith that Christ has created in me

Will keep me safe into eternity.

 

I don’t know how I believed when I don’t even trust my heart

I don’t know how the Spirit came to dwell in my innermost part.

I don’t know how the Spirit can make a life brand new

I don’t know when He’s coming back , but I know His word is true

 

And I know that I know that I know

That every word he says is so

And I know that his faithfulness

Shall keep me until I go to my rest.

 

For as I travel here below

As long as I live I will grow

His word  and promise tells me so

So I know that I know that I know.

 

But I know that I know that I know

That whatever I do and wherever I go

The faith that Christ has created in me

Will keep me safe into eternity.
