I know a way

 

I know a way to get right with God,

to start your life anew, like a baby born today

I know a way to be right with God,

Today is the day to wash your sins away.

 

Christ came to us and lived as a man

To show us a way and help us understand

Not to live for self but with an eye on eternity

To help us clearly see that in Him alone we can be free.

 

 

I know a way to get right with God,

to see your conscience cleared- your heart cleansed with pure water.

I know a way to be right with God,

Today is the day to wash your sins away.

 

He came for us, a living sacrifice -

a gift to us from God to show us His path

So that we could be reconciled to Him

He saved us from God’s wrath

which comes upon the world because of sin’s aftermath

 

Oh people try to see the life you are living won’t last forever

You’ll stand before him without your excuse and then you’ll never

Get to be with Him in eternity

Because His word has come to you this day

And he says turn now from your sinful way

Walk with God and trust Him with your heart

If you shun him now on this earth You will not have a part

From Him you shall be free. Forever.

 

So don’t you turn away from his sacrifice

With all God’s heart he cries

I don’t want you to die

Now the time is short and He’s coming soon

Today is the day to wash your sin away!
