My Desire and My Delight

 

Oh Lord my God you are my delight

And you delight in me, I’m precious in your sight

So you have said as you sing over me

You are my delight and my desire for all eternity.

 

Oih Lord my God, I trust for more of you

And your living water floods my soul with love that’s true

But I’m only satisfied  when you slake my thirst,

When I plunge myself into the fountain until I am immersed

 

My delight and my desire

Baptize me with Holy fire

Set my soul ablaze

Then drench my mind with praise

Is to do that which my Lord requires

To love Him with soul, heart and mind

And all the strength that I can find...
