Sovereign King

 

Desperate means prevail in desperate days

In times like this they’re not unknown

In the fullness of time we’ll se a different way

For God is on His throne.

 

I may not know what tomorrrow holds

But the one who holds it I have known

A lamp to my feet who speaks and daylight unfolds.

The light of truth He has shown

 

Don’t you know that he is saviour, Don’t you know He reigns above?

Don’t you know he rules the Kingdom- He is the Lord of Love.

Sovereign Grace so full and free.

Sovereign King who reigns alone

Sovereign take control of me

Establish in me your throne

 

 

When suffering besets you and trials ensue

Know that you are not alone-

For God works wihin it to will and to do

To make us into living stones.

 

He rules in truth and he rules in Grace

His reign his righteousness has shown

His Holy way we never shall trace

Yahweh is God alone.
