Written in Blood (Rescued and Refuged)

 

God is Love, but God is more- He’s Holiness uncompromised

He reigns above and goes to war against what He cannot abide

The sin of man is an offense And sin takes with it you and I

Abomination’s recompense Is that all that sin must die

 

It’s not that you’re better or worse  than the rest

Its  that holiness is the only  answer to this test

To be perfect in holiness Is what heaven requires

Be blameless in righteousness To escape  a righteous wrath’s fires

 

But those that are rescued from the wrath of the Lord

Are also now refuged in the free flowing blood

Those who are saved are now kept  in his plan

And our names are written in blood on his hand.

 

God is Love, but God is more- His Holiness is pure

He provided a way for a salvation that is secure

He remains faithful and just tho he judgment is stayed.

And now in faith we must trust That the penalty’s paid

 

And those that are rescued from the wrath of the Lord

Are also now refuged in the free flowing blood

For it was poured out on the perfect lamb

And our names are now written in blood on his hand.
