Or stand upon the rock

I can stand for just a little while

While the world takes stock

But there is a much better place

Where I can take my stand

Upon the promises you keep

By the power of your hand.

I can stand in places I can’t see

And rail against the night

I can stand for causes that I plead

While sailing from your light

For I can’t see just where I stand

Asthis planet spins thru space

I can know the steadfast surety

Of standing on a holy place

For you are stone, a rock secure

A Standing place that will endure
